How can we, in our own way, contribute to the transition from a society that destroys life to one that sustains it, through more harmonious relationships with all beings?
We hope to invite you for our next Spiritual Ecology training at a Buddhist retreat centre in Beaumont, Belgium. Here we will work together with Gregory Henry, who has initiated and cares for the permaculture garden at this retreat place. No previous experience with Spiritual Ecology or permaculture needed, just your curiosity and wanting to co-learn with others in how to play your part in contributing to a life-sustaining society
Dates spring 2024
Sunday 19th of May - Monday 20th of May
Dates fall 2024 Saturday 28th of Sept - Sunday 29th of September
Spoken language French (with possibility of English translation)
The central shift this Spiritual Ecology training aims to support is from being disengaged, discouraged, defeated, or disillusioned towards feeling more engaged, encouraged, enlivened, and empowered to take action for positive changes you aspire to. Whatever your starting point, we're exploring together what supports each one of us to move in our own unique way in this direction. As well as how to maintain and nourish our energy and engagement along the way.
Together, we will learn simple mindfulness and compassion practices we can apply in daily life. And we will journey through the Spiral of the Work that Reconnects (by Joanna Macy and Chris Johnstone), an empowerment process that deepens our capacity to act for the sake of life on Earth.
Different exercises will be practiced together during this training, based on the ancient wisdom tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, systems theory, science and nature connection like:
