Are you curious to explore how to lead or navigate life from an awareness of interconnectedness?
Do you want to learn to nourish and strengthen inner resources to have more resilience and creative power to face the mess we’re in and contribute to a life-sustaining society?
Are you seeking a community that holds space to share our humanness, places life at the center of our existence and emphasises including the more-than-human world in what ever we do?
Spiritual Ecology starts with the acknowledgement that the global ecological crisis, which cannot be separated from the social, economic and political crises, is also the defining crisis of the human species. We are being challenged as a species, to ‘grow up or to get out of the way’, according to Thich Nhat Hanh.
The good news is that the universe is a self-aware creative process, and this pure creative potentiality is in us too. It can awaken and free itself from the limiting identities and illusion of separateness we hold as human beings. We are much larger, stronger, deeper and more creative than we’ve grown accustomed to believing.
Why should I join
Because the world needs you — whole, grounded, and awake.
This training is for you if you’re tired of feeling overwhelmed or disconnected — from yourself, from others, from the living world around you. It gives you practical tools to build real inner resilience, not just cope better, but show up differently.
You’ll move from feeling like a worried individual watching a world in crisis, to feeling like part of something larger — with a clearer sense of your own unique role in it.
In short: it’s a rare chance to grow, in community, in a way that’s both deeply personal and genuinely useful for the world.
Practical and transformative journey
With the Core-training we offer a practical and transformative journey both personally and collectively. The Spiritual Ecology practices we offer come from indigenous and ancient wisdom traditions, systems theory, neuroscience, Kincentric leadership, the Work that Reconnects, nature connection and engaged mindfulness and compassion practices.
By exploring our experiences inside and in relating to the human and more-than-human world we invite different ways of knowing to access the wisdom in the group. We want to create a brave space where we can both relax and take risk, where we can embrace our humanness (being a ‘compassionate mess’) and support one another in our membership of the group and the larger community of life, finding our own unique part to play in contributing to a better world.
The format
The core-training consists of two weekends and two Sundays in-person training In Wageningen and two online sessions in between of 1,5 hour.
Module One – Paradigm Shift
How may we feel a sense of interconnectedness with all beings and weave ourselves back into the web of life? What are ways to strengthen our inner resources like awareness, kindness, joy, strength, compassion & wisdom to build our resilience and creative power?
Module Two – Radical Presence
How can we grow the courage and inner strength not to turn away from the suffering of our kin, both human and more than human?
Module Three – Compassionate Warrior
Does our own decision-making and way-finding transform if we know ourselves to be embedded in a web of more than human relationships? how can you play your own unique part in support of all life on Earth?
Who Is This For?
This training is particularly relevant for professionals and students working at the edge of change — policymakers, changemakers, activists, educators, healthcare workers, and anyone on the frontline of today’s complex challenges. If your work brings you face to face with the weight of the world on a daily basis, this is a space to resource yourself, find community, and reconnect with what drives you.
But it’s also for anyone who senses that the personal and the planetary are connected — and wants to live and act from that understanding.
